We invite guest blog posts, as well as occasional guest editors of blog miniseries. If you are interested in submitting a post or an idea for a miniseries, please contact the Improve with Metacognition co-creators at improvewithmetacognition@gmail.com.
Guidelines for Blog Posts:
- Posts should be between 700-1200 words, ideally 800-1000 words.
- Authors should assume a broad, lay audience.
- Subheadings should be used as appropriate to break the post into smaller, easily digestible chunks.
- At least one image should be included for visual interest. Images also increase interest when we share on social media. Be sure to cite the source of your images. If you are looking for free images, two possible sites are Pixabay and Unsplash.
- Ideally, posts will have 1-2 references or links to further resources.
The following review process is followed for blog post submissions:
- At least two of the Improved with Metacognition co-creators will review the post within one week of submission.
- Feedback and suggestions will be sent to the author.
- A revised version will again be reviewed by at least two co-creators.
- Pending satisfactory revisions, the blog post will be accepted. Typically, accepted blogs are uploaded to the site for publication within three weeks of acceptance.
- Authors will be notified when their blog post is published.
